About the Event

This series will draw from Buddhist philosophy and psychotherapeutic approaches. It is suitable for participants of all backgrounds and experience levels. Having said that, some experience with reflections may be helpful. A lot of this workshop will be interactive and involve sharing among a small / large group (depending on the number of participants). The sharing is an intentional component to work through shame and guilt, which are often isolating. When everyone shares, based on their comfort level, it fosters a sense of community and safety.

PLEASE NOTE: Owing to the sensitive nature of the content and shares, the sessions will NOT BE RECORDED.

1. To facilitate inner reflection

2. To introduce concepts of self, parts, shadows

3. To explore equanimity, self-acceptance, self-compassion

* A private space

* A laptop with a stable internet connection - you can use your phone, but the experience is better on a desk top / laptop.

* A journal and pen

* A yoga mat / cushion for some seated medidation

* An open mind :)

This workshop is a FREE from diet culture talk, is fat- positive and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming. Having said that, while exploring oneself, sometimes internalized oppression may surface. Participants are asked to respectfully understand this is part of the process. If something is upsetting, please take a break. It is recommended (not compulsory) to have cameras on to foster a sense of community and safety.

This workshop does not replace formal psychotherapy. The nature of this workshop may be disturbing to some individuals. The facilitators are NOT responsible for any distress you may experience, though they may be able to support you in the moment. By participating in this workshop, you are releasing the organizer / facilitator from liability on all fronts.
